The Founder - A Brief Profile
Mr. Orlando M. da Costa-Luis, the founder and proprietor of the firm, graduated from the Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, Bombay, India in 1979.
He possesses the following professional qualifications:
- C.P.S. (The Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya - since 1992)
- C.P.A. (The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya - since 1987)
- C.A. (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India - since 1984)
- C.S. (The Institute of Company Secretaries of India - since 1983)
He also obtained the Certificate of Proficiency for Insurance Agents in Kenya in 1997.
This is supported by over 35 years of wide and varied experience in the financial sector.
He commenced his career as an Article clerk/Trainee Chartered Accountant in September 1979 with M/s A. F. Ferguson & Co., Bombay, India, (representing KPMG International) the then-largest public accounting firm in India as well as worldwide.
He was with a subsidiary of the prestigious TATA group of companies in India, in a very senior position, before coming to Kenya. Of the total experience, 8 years were in audit firms, 23 in private practice, and the rest in top management positions in industry.
